Every official inflation number is a national average across a basket most people never see. This tracks one real basket instead — a domestic LPG cylinder, a broadband bill, an average food-delivery order, and a typical commute — checked and dated by hand every month.
What This Is — And What It Isn't
This is not a scientific survey and doesn't claim to represent every Indian household — it's one real, transparent basket of four costs, tracked by hand each month with a written source for every price. The first month entered becomes the base (index = 100); every later month is shown relative to it, the same way the CPI works, just at a much smaller and more relatable scale. If fewer than two months are on record yet, the table below will honestly say so rather than fake a trend.
